Mobilisation and Myofascial release is a crucial part of the preparation and rehab from all of your training and fitness activities. To do this correctly means you will need to get the Best Mobility Gear you and the best prices. Each one I have listed has a different but vital role to play, and I have tried and tested myself.
The four things I recommend that you use to mobilise and avoid injury are:
- This Foam Roller on Amazon, Please don’t make the same mistake as me and avoid getting a foam roller. Foam rolling is so necessary I cannot overstate. Releasing knots and sore muscles especially the more significant groups is perfect for the foam roller.
- This Lacrosse Ball on Amazon This is for the pinpoint release of the smaller knots and soreness points on the body. Especially the claves and the glutes. It’s also handy for carrying around where ever you need it
- This Roller Stick on Amazon I have a love-hate relationship with this piece of kit. I love the results after I have gone through the pain of working out the knots. This tool is convenient for carrying with you to the office. Its also hand easy to use at home.
- This Light Resistance Band on Amazon This super easy to carry, inexpensive and ideal for hip and ankle mobility drills. I recommend getting this also for overhead stretching too.
The Foam Roller that I recommend to get you loose and to iron out all of your knots and soreness past barefoot run or training is the TriggerPoint GRID Foam Roller (click to see it on Amazon). Its perfect for the job! The durability and its ability to get to the rich spots with the correct amount of stiffness in the foam is the reason why I still have the same one to this day.
However, keep in mind that there are other variations of the foam rollers that are made of a much harder material. I wouldn’t recommend these options as you will in all likelihood be using this a lot less, and therefore there is no point in the extra spend unless you absolutely must.
In combination with the other pieces of kit you will be getting it you get these you will save yourself money overall. Start with the TriggerPoint GRID Foam Roller, and you will get the best value for money.
The Lacrosse ball is straightforward to get. I recommend you get this lacrosse ball (click to see on Amazon). You can choose whatever color you want to add to your gear.
The roller stick is another go-to piece of gear that I use. I recommend the Trigger Point Grid STK Roller (click to see on Amazon). Easy to carry around with you in your laptop bag or to use in the office. I like this model because I find its durable.
The resistance band is the unsung hero. I recommend this one Light Resistance Band (click to see on Amazon). It is ideal for overhead stretching exercises and hip and ankle release.
